Huawei Solar Kits: Six Ready-Made Systems, Line by Line

Huawei SUN2000-5K-LB0 hybrid inverter, the inverter line of the apartment solar system kit

Six ready-made Huawei solar systems, from an apartment to a villa: the load each is sized for, its inverter, battery and panel lines, and the sums.

A solar system is three decisions made together: an inverter large enough for the highest load of the day, a battery that holds the hours you want to cover, and enough panels to refill both. Our ready-made systems make those three decisions for six typical sites — an apartment, a house, a villa, a shop, an office and a farm — and print the result as a kit. This guide shows what each kit holds on the Huawei catalogue and the arithmetic behind every line, so you can check a kit against your own home before you order.

How a kit is worked out

Each kit starts from a list of appliances with a wattage and the hours it runs each day. The sizing calculator uses the same four sums:

  1. Daily energy. Watts × hours for every appliance, added up, in kWh.
  2. Peak load. Everything running together, plus the starting surge of the largest motor. The inverter's rated power must cover it.
  3. Battery. Daily energy × backup hours ÷ 24. An evening kit covers 4 hours, an overnight kit 8, an off-grid kit the whole day.
  4. Panels. Daily energy ÷ (sun hours × 0.8). The calculator uses 5.7 sun hours for the UAE and 5.8 for Saudi Arabia; off-grid kits use 0.75 instead of 0.8.

A worked example: the apartment

The apartment list is one air conditioner (1,200 W for 8 hours, 9.6 kWh), a fridge (150 W, 8 hours, 1.2 kWh), lights and Wi-Fi (200 W, 8 hours, 1.6 kWh), a television (100 W, 6 hours, 0.6 kWh) and a washing machine (800 W, 1 hour, 0.8 kWh). That is 13.8 kWh a day.

Running together they draw 2,450 W, and the air conditioner's compressor adds 2,400 W when it starts, so the peak is 4,850 W. The Huawei unit that fits is the SUN2000-5K-LB0: its record states 5,000 W rated AC power on a single phase, two MPPT inputs of 16 A each, a 40–560 V MPPT range and IP66 protection.

For an evening cut the battery need is 13.8 × 4 ÷ 24 = 2.3 kWh, and for a night 4.6 kWh; both kits carry one 5.1 kWh battery line. With no grid at all the need is the full 13.8 kWh, which the off-grid apartment kit meets with three 5.1 kWh units, 15.4 kWh in total.

The array is 13.8 ÷ (5.7 × 0.8) = 3.0 kWp, which is six 550 W panels on about 16 square metres.

The off-grid versions

Without a grid the battery has to hold a whole day, so the numbers grow. The house kit carries two LUNA2000-21-S1 batteries, 41.4 kWh for a 25.4 kWh day. The villa carries three, 62.1 kWh for 49.5 kWh, with 22 panels. The office carries two, 41.4 kWh for 40.4 kWh, with 18 panels. The shop and the farm keep their SUN2000 hybrid inverter and state the battery as 25.6 kWh and 10.2 kWh.

Why one line names a model and another a size

A kit names a product only when the record supports the pairing. An inverter is named when its rated power is at least the peak load and not more than two and a half times it, and when it is a hybrid — a backup kit needs one. Huawei's single-phase hybrid range, the SUN2000-LB0, runs from 3 kW to 6 kW, so it is named for the apartment, shop and farm; the house, villa and office peaks are above 6 kW, and those kits state the inverter size instead. The three-phase hybrid range, the SUN2000-MAP0, reaches 12 kW: if your site has a three-phase supply, compare the LB0 and the MAP0 and read the SUN2000-10K-MAP0 record, which lists the LUNA2000 batteries it accepts and the SmartGuard-63A-T0 as its backup device.

A battery is named when its voltage sits inside the inverter's stated battery window. The LUNA2000-15-S0 states 450 V nominal and a 350–560 V operating range on a single phase; every LUNA2000-S1 states the same 350–560 V range. The Huawei catalogue holds inverters, batteries and accessories, so the panel line always states a count and a wattage — 550 W modules — rather than a model.

From a kit to an order

  1. Open the kit closest to your site on the systems page.
  2. Send it to the calculator and correct the appliance list: a second air conditioner, a pump, longer backup.
  3. Read the LUNA2000-S1 datasheet or the SUN2000-LB0 datasheet for the rows that matter on your wall: weight, dimensions, protection degree.
  4. Order the named units online. The price on each product page is the price you pay, and orders are collected from our store in Dubai or Riyadh.

We are an authorised Huawei distributor based in Dubai; the kits are our sizing of Huawei's catalogue, not the manufacturer's own bundles.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is inside a ready-made Huawei solar system?

Three lines: one inverter, a battery when the system keeps running through a power cut or without a grid, and a row of panels. A line names a Huawei model where the catalogue has a unit that fits the load — the SUN2000-5K-LB0 for the apartment, a LUNA2000 battery for the house, villa and office — and states the size needed where it does not, for example a 9 kW inverter or six 550 W panels.

Which Huawei inverter does the apartment system use?

The SUN2000-5K-LB0. Its record states 5,000 W rated AC power, single-phase connection, two MPPT inputs, 97.8% maximum efficiency and IP66 protection. The apartment's peak demand is 4,850 W, which the 5,000 W rating covers.

How many panels does a house system need?

Eleven 550 W panels for the house kit. The house uses 25.4 kWh a day; divided by 5.7 sun hours and a 0.8 performance ratio that is a 5.6 kWp array, and 5.6 kWp in 550 W modules is eleven panels on about 29 square metres of roof.

Can I change a kit before ordering it?

Yes. Every kit opens in the sizing calculator with its appliances already entered. Add or remove an appliance, change the backup hours or switch between grid and off-grid, and the inverter, battery and panel lines are worked out again from your own list.
